Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser — an intense, pulsating beam of light — to remove unwanted hair. During laser hair removal, a laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth.
It typically takes several laser hair removal treatments to provide an extended hair-free period. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed as well. Laser hair removal can be done all parts of the body including, legs, underarms, face and back.
A Photofacial (IPL) is a non-ablative treatment using intense-pulsed light. It delivers a bright blast of light at very high energy levels through a hand held device. Photofacials (IPL) are used for a variety of skin conditions such as sun damage, brown spots, broken capillaries, and facial redness. This treatment can be done on all parts of the body including face, neck and chest.
Fractional laser treatment is a non-invasive treatment that uses a device to deliver a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones that target a fraction of the skin at a time.
Fractional laser treatments bridge the gap between the ablative and non-ablative laser techniques used to treat sun-damaged and aging skin, scars and stretch marks. Whilst ablative laser treatments work mainly on the epidermis (surface skin cells) and non-ablative treatments work solely on dermal collagen (mid-layer of skin) only, fractional laser treatment works at both the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin.
Tattoo removal lasers use a highly concentrated pulse of energy which are absorbed by the pigment breaking the tattoo ink into tiny particles. The body’s lymphatic system carries away the residual ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade or disappear completely.
Advanced technology can now allow different laser wavelengths to be selected to target a wide range of tattoo ink color, giving you maximum flexibility to treat a variety of tattoos with excellent results in as little as a few treatments. Adjustable spot sizes let you treat the smallest and biggest areas with ease and efficiency, yet minimizes the effect on surrounding skin tissue.
